Thoughtful container garden styling that brings beauty & intention to every space

What we do

The Perennial Refresh provides custom container garden designs, installation, and seasonal plant rotations for homes and businesses throughout the Placer and Nevada County foothills.

Whether you’re starting from scratch or refreshing an existing space, we help create outdoor settings that feel comfortable, welcoming, and well suited to everyday use. Our designs balance structure, texture, and seasonal interest while reflecting each client’s personal style.

All plant selections are made with your USDA zone and local conditions in mind.

Who we are

Hi, I’m Lisa—founder of The Perennial Refresh. I’ve always been drawn to spaces where design and nature come together. I love designing gardens that feel natural and layered—spaces that shift with the seasons and maintain their sense of structure.

I grew up in Los Angeles, where I first developed an eye for design, but moving to Northern California more than 30 years ago sparked a deeper love for the textures, colors, and changing seasons of the Sierra Nevada foothills.

Today, I bring together my creative background and horticultural knowledge to design container gardens that are inviting, stunning, and sustainable. My favorite part of the work is helping people create outdoor spaces that let them truly feel at home.
